Some Things Take Way Too Long!

Merry Meeting Family, Friends, Followers and Lurkers!

On two occasions over this past week, I've heard a song on the radio that I've loved since I was a kid. When I listened, I realized that it's lyrics held a message that has neither changed, nor have we progressed enough to see it come to pass in the last 50 years since it's release!

"We've Got To Live Together" Listen! And enjoy!!!

In Darkness, Light!

I love Marvin Gaye! I grew up listening to Motown and to this day it has remains my favorite music to listen to.

You are absolutely right about "What's going on?". It's mind-boggling to think that songs are still being written about our need for love and acceptance of each other's differences. It just doesn't seem like such a difficult task.

Many people have commented on my staff, but...it really isn't, you know...a staff. Nor am I wearing a cloak. I'm actually wearing a wrap that I bought at a street faire and the "staff" is a stick I picked up while hiking so that I wouldn't fall into the stream! Thank you though and welcome to my blog! I'm so happy you found me!

Isn't it interesting how much of what was published in the 60s has gone full circle withour children's generations....and even the grandchildren. I love it when I find a kid absorbed with Jethro Tull,Hendrix, Cat Stevens, Donovan,Leon Russell, etc. Do you realize how long Judas Priest has been around ??? as long As long as the Stones. Yeah ..... I know they are all heavy players but it is the prose and poetic commentary on the social attitudes of their times that remains static. Like one of my boys said to me..,"the old stuff is the best because it really makes a case for inner freedom and justice."

Oh, I love that song. And I haven't heard it in so long. It inspires me to post one for you, along the same line.
